The Pearson ELT Teacher Award recognises and celebrates innovative teachers that really make a difference to learning outcomes. And there’s still time to enter or nominate an inspirational teacher. Maybe you have used technology in a unique way with your learners, or you know a teacher who has re-invented traditional tasks – let us know today!

The deadline for entries is 1 January 2017.

Prizes include an all-expenses paid trips to the IATEFL or TESOL conference in 2017 to learn share and talk with other ELT teachers.

  • The IATEFL 2017 Conference is taking place in Glasgow in Scotland on 4 – 7 April 2017. One of the main events in the English Language Teaching calendar, the conference will be attended by more than 2,500 ELT professionals from 100 countries. It will involve a four-day programme of 500 talks, workshops and symposiums, as well as a vibrant social programme. This will offer a unique chance to meet leading theorists and writers, and exchange ideas with fellow professionals from all sectors of ELT.
  • TESOL 2017 is an international convention and English language expo that will be held on 21 – 24 March in Seattle in Washington. More than 6,500 people will be attending from around the world, including educators at all levels. The convention begins with the opening keynote and closes with a celebratory social event. During those days, attendees will be able to choose from nearly 1,000 educational sessions and visit the more than 120 exhibitors.

People’s Choice vote opens on 3 January. After submissions close, anyone can vote for their favourite entry. A winner will be chosen from each region and will receive 20 Kindles for their class pre-loaded with Pearson content.
