Now available, our GSE Learning Objectives for Young Learners – 490 brand new ‘Can Do’ statements designed to support those teaching young learners aged 6-14.
Creating the new GSE Learning Objectives for Young Learners has involved hundreds of teachers from over 45 countries – a truly collaborative endeavour. These teachers rated the new learning objectives – placing them on the Global Scale of English and Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to create a shared view of what it means for young learners to be at a particular proficiency level in English.
Take part in our Young Learner research
We would like to find out what you think of our initial findings:
- Are the GSE Learning Objectives at the right level for the young learners that you teach?
- Is there anything that you currently teach that is not yet included in this set of learning objectives?
- This set of learning objectives covers young learners from 6-14. Not all learning objectives are appropriate for all ages. Do you see a need for information about “appropriate age” (according to cognitive development) to be included?
- How do you see yourself using these GSE Learning Objectives for Young Learners?
We would also love to hear from experienced teachers of young learners who are interested in becoming part of our panel of raters’. It only takes a couple of hours a month to rate the difficulty level of new learning objectives! Please contact us for more information at: firstname.lastname@example.org We look forward to hearing from you!
