25 November event: The benefits and challenges of languages in business

Join us for an exclusive breakfast briefing with the FT and Pearson English

Businesses increasingly employ multinational staff and work with international partners who speak more than one language. Yet bilingualism is still little understood, often misinterpreted and sometimes regarded with scepticism.

Professor Antonella Sorace of the University of Edinburgh and Bilingualism Matters, will present the latest research findings on the benefits of bilingualism and the learning of languages in business. Andrew Hill, Management Editor at the Financial Times, will then lead a panel discussion on the practical opportunities and challenges of working with a multilingual workforce.
