
Tas Viglatzis is Managing Director of Pearson English, the world’s largest provider of English language learning, covering everything from basics for beginners to boardroom-level business English. He is also the Chairman of the FTIE Corporate Learning Alliance – a joint venture between the Financial Times and the IE Business School and a custom executive education provider. He also sits on the board of directors of the Financial Times. Viglatzis joined the FT in 2007, assuming responsibility for strategy and corporate development, as well as managing finances and business analytics for the FT's digital operations. He was later appointed chief financial officer where he oversaw the FT’s finance and acquisition strategy. Prior to his current roles with Pearson and the FT, Viglatzis held a number of global finance positions with British Broadcasting Corporation, De Beers Group and Cadbury Schweppes Plc. Viglatzis graduated from the Athens University of Economics, has an MBA from Cass Business School and is a qualified accountant.
